Ideas anyone?

Have a rather large order of cakes/cupcakes. I have the bridal shower cupcakes, bachelorette party cupcakes, wedding cake and the grooms cake. Now the grooms cake is the one I'm stumped on. The request is to have a cake that is one of two ideas. The prefered - Oil field. The alternate - hunting elk. I'm trying to do the prefered. So what would any ideas for an oil field cake be? Google hasn't offered much.

Cupcakes!

I have a weakness for cupcakes. 1. They tend to be very simple and quick to make. 2. They are easier to share with the masses! Here are some of the more recent cupcakes that I've done.

I call these grown up cupcakes. They're Chocolate Fudge cupcakes with Buttercream icicng and I used dark chocolate and white chocolate to make the pieces on top.
These are bridal shower cupcakes that I did for a friend of mine. The brides gown cupcakes didn't turn out as well as I would have liked.
These cupcakes have chocolate fudge cakes, chocolate icicng and then the chocolate pieces on top are dark and white chocolate with coffee beans inside. The others are my attempt to make Starbuck's lemon loaf. They turned out amazing, but nothing like Starbucks.
A fuzzy attempt at showing the full platter.
This is how the cookie crumbles. At least that's what I wanted to name it. I believe my feedback came back naming it something else, but I'm at a loss right now as to what that was. This is chocolate cupcake with chocolate chips and then there's a piece of cookies and cream chocolate bar inside (as a surprise!) then buttercream icing and half an oreo on the top for pretties!
Inside of said cupcake. See the candy piece?
Death by chocolate. These are so full of chocolate that even a chocolate lover can only eat a few. (My husband ate 7 in one night. I really don't know how.) They're chocolate fudge cupcakes, mini chocolate chips, full size chocolate chips, white chocolate chips inside, chocolate icing on top and a white chip to top it all off.
Better view of an individual Death by Chocolate.
Tye dye cupcakes. These were a bit more time consuming, but so much fun! Kids and adults both ate them up!!
 Inside of the tye dye.
Valentines cupcakes. They taste like pancakes and syrup (I love pancakes and syrup) All the stand up pieces are made from fondant. Took these to bar (of all places) and they were gone withing a matter of minutes.
Can see the fondant pieces a little better.

My Daughter's 5th Birthday

If you knew my daughter you'd know she's well beyond her 5 years. She's a true girl and all about the animal prints and high heels, already. I know this will turn into the total hell when she's turning 16, but, for now she's turning 5. I'm excited about her birthday. I can't wait to share her cake with everyone! She picked it all out herself. She told me exactly what she wanted. Stay tuned, Sunday is the big day, so I'll be posting it tomorrow evening probably! :)

Past Cakes

I'm just going to roll all the older cakes I've done into 1 post instead of doing them individually. This isn't all of them, some pictures have been lost or are on other computers and, I'm sure, find their way here eventually.

Hippie Wedding. Topsy Turvey, fondant all over and LOTS of color!

Just a fall cake. Made it for the Hubs to take to work and share at with the boys.

This Flip Flop was massive! But lots of fun for a backyard bbq party!

I'm a Bear's Fan. So, it killed me to do this one!!!

These two did not go together, but got the order for the sheet cake after someone at the party of the round saw this. Tractors are made from dyed chocolate and hand drawn.

My sister in law loves Dinosaurs so I did this cake for her 18th birthday. All dinos and trees on top are hand drawn with dyed chocolate.

My daughter loves dragonflies so for her 3rd birthday I made this cake. Hand drawn dyed chocolate.

Plain and simple wedding cake.

Couple loves lighthouses so asked for something reflecting that.

Obviously Mickey Mouse.

Nautical Baby Shower

My sister's wedding cake. (We're in Wyoming, we can get away with this!)

Ignore the mess around the cake. This was a summer wedding cake.

Ok, that's it for now. I'll have another post of cupcakes coming up soon I'm sure.

Butterfly Wedding Cake

Fondant with artificial butterflys picked out the bride. Between the 2 letters there was a replica of their blue Harley Davidson

Elegant 50th Birthday

I decided to make this cake for my Mother in law. She turned 50 this week and we're throwing her a party tomorrow night. Had to do the black for the "over the hill" part of the cake, but wanted it to be pretty and reflect her. Keep in mind it's been roughly 10 months since using fondant, so please be nice. :)

Jungle theme with chocolate animals.

All the cakes I do are custom made for each order. I have a few loyal customers who come to me for everything. These are baby shower cakes I've done.

This first one is the first chocolate animals that I did. I draw them out in chocolate and use dyed chocolate to fill them in. They're very thin and break easily. They make me nervous frankly. Anyway here they are.

So then I get an order for another one. This time they want me to use the animals from the wall border they put in the baby's room. It's cute really. The animals gave me more grief then I ever could have imagined. None the less, here it is.

I know I know, My table is a mess. Get over it. It happens. I really just wanted the cake done with. lol Anyway I think the second cake is significantly better than the first one. You be the judge.
